A loan of $1,200 helped a member buy fruits and vegetables.

Ok Mufakose Vendors -B Group's story

This is 27-year-old Maureen from Machipisa, a high-density suburb in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe. She is married and has one child who attends school. Maureen runs a retail business selling fruits and vegetables. Her business has been in operation for 3 years. She says the main challenge she faces is the unavailability of some produce due to seasonal changes.

Maureen has requested a loan of $400 to buy fruits and vegetables to resell. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to pay rent on time. In the future, Maureen plans to have a fresh produce shop in the city center.
