A loan of $1,200 helped to buy a photocopier.

Maria Angela's story

Maria Angela lives with her family in a community called San Carlos, in the second province of Costa Rica, Alajuela. This area produces the highest production of coffee and sugar cane in the country. Furthermore, it produces basic grains (rice, beans and corn), fruit, vegetables, tubers and vegetables. The most important airport, Aeropuerto Internacional Juan Santamaría, is located in this province.

For some months Maria Angela has needed a photocopier, and it is difficult to manage supporting her children without this technological tool.

This is why she is asking for a loan in the amount of 597,000 colones, for the purchase of a photocopier in order to print copies to meet the needs of her customers and to do the work and requests so the customers continue receiving good service, and they can function as a professional service.

Maria Angela is a member of the community bank Empresa de Crédito Comunal de El Encanto de Pital and this is her first loan, in one of the 150 member organizations of EDESA in Costa Rica.
