Pedro Jesus's story

Pedro Jesús is 28, and a person who enjoys watching movies in his free time. Currently, he lives and works in Ica, Peru.

Ica is located in the Sechura Desert, around four hours to the south of Lima, the country's capital. It is celebrated by Peruvians as the "The Land of Sun.

It is known in Peru for its frequent earthquakes (an 8.0 in 2007 and 6.9 in 2011), and for its production of grapes, asparagus and olives. It is perhaps best know as the source of Peru's traditional national drink, Pisco. The client's home and company is located in this warm and dry climate.

Pedro provides computer maintenance and support services. As another source of income, he looks after an internet booth in the mornings. This helps him to have a little more income. He has studied at university, which has allowed him to learn everything necessary to develop his business.

On average he serves two customers daily. This allows him to earn 30 soles, and on some occasions he can earn up to 60 soles, depending on what his customers ask for, and also on the number of people he serves.

The Kiva loan will help him buy tools and a disk drive that will allow him to have a greater variety of programs on his computer. Only in this way will he be able to provide more and better service to his customers.

This help will give him encouragement to keep working toward having his own shop, so that he can serve many more customers. With this new income he wants to be able to have his own house.
