A loan of $1,200 helped to buy raw materials and furniture for her small sewing business.


Nermin's story

Nermin started her sewing and tailoring work from home 5 years ago. She a 30-year-old woman who lives in Iraq with her husband, two school age children and her mother who is proud of her daughters work and accomplishments. To support her family, Nermin applied for, received, and successfully repaid a previous loan she took from Relief International-Iraq. At the time she purchased a new sewing machine which has been put to great use since then under Nermin's busy hands. Nermin now took a loan of 1200 USD from RI-Iraq to buy more raw materials and to improve her business with the purchase of an iron, a some small furniture items.
