Koba's story

Koba is a farmer from the village Pirveli Obcha, West Georgia. He is 43-years-old, married and lives with his family: wife Lia, 3-year-old daughter, 2-year-old son and parents. The children go to kindergarten. Koba is leading the agricultural business of the family which is the main source of income for them.

They have a vineyard with 1000 vine trees. Koba makes wine and vodka and sells them in the village. Also the family sells nuts, harvested from family owned 100 nut trees. Along with the above mentioned, Koba and his father run small bee-keeping farm. They have 5 bee-hives with bee-colonies. Gathered honey is sold locally. Total average monthly income of the family is 900 Laris, including the monthly pensions of Koba’s parents.

Koba requested credit for purchasing additional 10 bee-hives and bee-colonies. He will triple the amount of gathered honey and sell it in the village. The income of the family will increase. They will be able to create better living conditions for their children and themselves.
