A loan of $450 helped to buy another buffalo for dairy business.

Irshaad's story

Irshaad is 51 years old and attached to a clothes sewing business. She started her business to financially support her family. She is very good in her work and receives a good number of orders every month. Her husband is a milk seller. He has some buffaloes at home. He milks them everyday and sells the milk to his community clients. The quality of milk he provides is very good and he has a good number of clients in his community.

Irshaad is the mother of 2 sons and 2 daughters. All of the children left their education without completion and now help their father in his business. Her sons help him by selling the milk to the community clients and her daughters support him by taking care of his buffaloes.

Irshaad has applied for a loan from Kiva partner, Asasah, for the further expansion of her husband's business. With the loan, he will buy another buffalo to increase the milk productivity. This will allow Irshaad's husband to sell milk in larger quantities and to make more profits.

Irshaad is hopeful that an investment will be more productive for her husband.
