A loan of $750 helped to buy rice, sugar, canned goods, sodas and sweets.

Carlos's story

Carlos, 62, is a hard-working man who lives in his own home with his wife, Elena, 46, and their daughter, Davita, 19, who they want to receive a good education. Carlos works hard to get ahead. He is a merchant and has a grocery store in the community and many customers. He opens very early in the morning to receive the first shoppers who know they will find what they need. What he enjoys most about his work is being able to talk to customers and using his persuasive conversations to generate more customers.

He has been in business for two years and believes that the hardest part of his job is having to be on his feet all day long. He plans to use the loan to buy more groceries for the business and stock the store. He hopes to be able to make a better profit in the future so he can grow and take good care of his family. This is his first loan through MFP and he is happy about receiving this financial support. He is committed to paying back the loan on time and plans to use the 2,000 PEN to buy groceries such as rice, sugar, canned goods, sodas, sweets and other items.
