A loan of $950 helped to hire labourers.

German's story

Germán, age 36, is married to Ofelia, age 34. They have four children and live together happily in their own home in the populated center of Chuvivana, in the ecological Sivia district. German is a coffee farmer. He tells us that he started this work because he did not have enough money for his studies. He say that his parents could not invest any more money in him, because his father's income was so unstable and there were four younger siblings in the family to support. German did not let this stop him. He decided to go to work and has seen the fruit of his labour. He normally works with his beloved wife, but they still need to hire labourers, especially for the harvest.
German and his family are happy because, thanks to MFP's support, their crops are consistently in good condition. This will be his second loan with MFP, and he once again promises to repay his quotas punctually. German is happy with the transparency of his communal bank.
With these 2,500 nuevos soles, he will hire labourers to help him to clear and fertilize his land.
