A loan of $3,850 helped a member to increase the food stock.

Vestiline Group's story

Shukuru is in his late thirties and is married with one child. He has been running a food vendor business for six years now. He works from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be Shukuru’s seventh loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loans to open a small retail shop for his wife, selling things like sweets, biscuits, ground nuts, juice, and water. He increased the food stock, so can now sell more food and has paid back all his loans successfully.

He hopes for a loan to increase the food stock. Shukuru’s dream is to one day be able to buy a motorcycle.

Shukuru will share this loan with his loan group, Vestiline, which has a total of sixteen members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable in paying back the loans.
