A loan of $3,550 helped a member to buy eggs and vegetables to sell.

Kuña Katupyry Group's story

The Kuña Katupyry communal bank was formed with a lot of effort in April of 2008. They are now in their eighth cycle. They work together in a supportive way within the program for enterprising women of the Fundación. In addition to each one’s independent work, they also develop business activities as a group. They mutually help each other to reach their objectives, which is to work in order to support their families.

Gullermina tells us that she sells vegetables thanks to the garden she set up. She did this thanks to a previous loan that the Fundación gave her. In addition to this, she also sells eggs. She tells us that through the loans she was able to improve her business activity, her standard of living, and her income.

She is requesting the loan to buy more vegetables and eggs. This way she will be able to stock up and meet her customers’ demand.
