A loan of $750 helped increase her capital to purchase vegetables.

Lized's story

Señora Lized makes a living selling a variety of vegetables on Wednesdays and Saturdays at the market. There is a high demand for her products on these days, so she leaves very early in the morning, at 4am, to acquire the products directly from the producers and then sell them on a very popular street in the city of Cochabamba. She has had over 6 years of experience in this line of work. With this credit, she hopes to purchase vegetables at whole sale. She lives in her own home in the Sud region, a semi-urban part of the city of Cochabamba. Her family consists of her spouse, who works in Argentina, and her two young children who are studying in school. Lized states that this job allows her to support her family so she is grateful for the trust given to her by offering her credit.
