Zainabu's story

Zainabu is a 37-year-old businesswoman who lives in Juba. She is married and has five children between the ages of three and 18. Three of them go to school.

Zainabu runs a food store business, and she has been in the business for six years. She has no employees. Zainabu heard about Finance Sudan through fellow clients and outreach and promotion done by the loan officers. She is taking a loan of SDG 2,500 to purchase more food items like onions, cooking oil, beans and many others. Zainabu has no source of income other than this business.

In five years time, Zainabu would like to hope for an increase in the business size and to have a good store.

Her major challenges include issues of school fees and home expenses.

Zainabu says that she is happy for Finance Sudan’s support, especially for women.
