A loan of $625 helped to purchase goods for selling (olive oil, rice, flour, peanuts, etc.).

Marcelina's story

She was born in the province of Inhambane, southern Mozambique. She is married and has five children, only two of which still attend school. She completed 3rd grade and stopped because her parents lacked financial conditions. She lives with her family in a house she owns and also supports three grandchildren who live with her.
She has been selling various products for over 11 years and earns an income of about 7.000mt a month. She uses it to pay for home expenses and saves part of it in her bank account.
She has had loans in other banks and has managed to repay without difficulties. She first heard of Hluvuku through a friend who is also a client of this institution. This is her first loan with Hluvuku. It is for 16.000mt, which she intends to use to purchase goods such as olive oil, rice, flour, peanuts, etc., in order to increase the quantity of her merchandise.
She pledges to repay as scheduled. In the future she plans to expand her business and for that reason she intends to request more loans from Hluvuku.
