Hayat's story

Hayat is a 30-year-old, married Lebanese woman. She lives with her husband and their two school-age children. She works really hard with her husband in order to earn money and to build a good future for their children.

She started her own home business in 2002, where she sells groceries such as sugar candies, chocolate, and sweets. She explains that she is very good at selecting products that her customers will want. She also sells clothes from her home.

She is now looking to further grow her business. As a result, she is seeking to borrow $2,800 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to buy more groceries for her business in order to increase her sales and profits. In the future, she plans to open her own mini-market.
