A loan of $575 helped to purchase construction supplies for her house (stone, metal sheets, rafters, iron, cement, etc.).

Rosa's story

She was born in the district of Boane, province of Maputo, southern Mozambique. She is married and has seven children, only one of which still attends school. She completed 4th grade and stopped because her parents lacked financial conditions. She lives with her family in a house she owns and also supports her grandson who lives with her.
She has been selling various products for over five years and, with help from her husband who also receives a retirement pension, she earns an income of about 7.500mt a month. She uses it to pay for home expenses and saves part of it in her bank account.
She has never had loans in other banks. She first heard of Hluvuku through a friend who is also a client of this institution. This is her third loan with Hluvuku. It is for 15.000mt, which she intends to use to purchase construction supplies for her house (stone, metal sheets, rafters, iron, cement, etc.). The other loans were for 10.500 and 12.000mt, for personal housing expenses.
She pledges to repay as scheduled. In the future she plans to finish building her home and to set up a business. For that reason she intends to request more loans from Hluvuku.
