A loan of $375 helped to buy beverages, dairy products, rice and sugar.

Rolando's story

Rolando, 49, is a very hard-working, honest and responsible man. He lives with his common-law wife and three children, ages 20, 12 and 3, who are the reason for so much work and sacrifice. He lives in his own house where he shares with his wife the joys of raising children and trying to give them as many comforts as possible. Rolando has a small retail grocery business in his house which is on a busy street with many potential customers. He also works selling sodas and alcoholic beverages to adults, which he has done for eight years with his wife's help.

What he enjoys about his work is that he can generate an income from the comfort of his own home while also working alongside his wife. He hopes to consolidate his business and add the products he needs to have on hand. In the future he would like to establish a minimarket and offer a wider variety of items to customers.

This is his third loan through MFP and he is very excited about the fact that an organization is placing confidence in him so he can increase his working capital and grow economically. He is very grateful for the support and promises not to disappoint anyone and is committed to paying back the loan on time. He is happy working with his communal bank because they are very adamant about punctuality. He plans to use the 1,000 PEN loan to buy products for his store such as beverages, dairy products, rice, sugar and other items to offer more variety to his customers.
