El Recuerdo Group's story

This group is called “El Recuerdo” and is composed of five women each with her own activity. María del Rosario was the one interviewed. She’s married to Alfredo and they have four children still in their care.

She requested the loan to buy Avon, Fuller and Arabela brand cosmetics. She’s been working eight months and comments that she does well because every day her income for her family is improving.

She was inspired to go into this activity by a girlfriend who encouraged her to do so since she does well and she encouraged her to sell also to help herself with income and to earn her own money so that her husband can feel supported by her. What she most wants from this small activity and the loan she’s asked for is to be able to continue working as long as God gives her life and to support her children.

The group members are: Ana Guadalupe who will uses the loan in her butchered chicken business; Marlene who will use it in her business selling Avon cosmetics; Santa Ana who will buy merchandise for her grocery store and María Leticia who will buy Avon and Fuller brand cosmetics.

In this group: Ana Guadalupe, Marlene, Santa Ana, Maria Leticia, Maria Del Rosario
