A loan of $3,775 helped a member to buy carwash supplies.

El Huamuchi Group's story

This group is called “Huamuchi” and is made up of 10 hardworking women with a desire to succeed and grow their businesses.

The members decided to name the group this way because there are Huamuchi trees in their neighborhood and the fruit is sweet and delicious.

Obdulia is one of the members. She’s a hardworking woman who sells food and also has a car wash.

She’s happily married to Simón, whom she loves and appreciates for the support he’s given her to continue her business, since she’s been focusing more on her food business and neglecting her car wash.

She requested this loan to buy more supplies, such as buckets, liquid soap, air fresheners, and brooms.

The other members of the group are:

María Magdalena – sells things
Blanca Luz – sells clothing
Inés – sells Mexican food
Amely – sells stews
Carmen – sells bread
María Guadalupe – sells food
Elvira – sells fish
María del Carmen – sells livestock
Margarita Rubí – sells shoes

They want to thank the foundation for the support they’ve gotten that allows them to continue succeeding in life.
