A loan of $2,625 helped to buy two new types of sows and fodder for her pigs.

Jemma's story

Jemma is 44 years old. She lives in Ijevan city with her big family. Jemma’s family consists of her husband, two sons, a daughter, two daughters-in-law, and two grandchildren.

All of Jemma’s family members are engaged in farming. They breed pigs and chickens, and grow fruits and vegetables. Also, Jemma’s husband and sons chop firewood in the forest and resell it. Thanks to her family’s occupations, Jemma was able to buy necessary furniture for her house, and to organize her sons’ weddings.

Jemma says that pig breeding is very profitable, so her family has decided to develop it. Therefore Jemma is asking for a loan of 1,000,000 Armenia drams (AMD) to buy two new types of sows and fodder for her pigs. This is Jemma’s sixth loan from Nor Horizon.
