Nat's Group's story

Originally from a village of the Thmor Koul district, Nat is a 31-year-old married mother of three children. Two of them are still in school while the last one has a job. She is a farmer who has been farming on her rice field for five years. She supplements her income by weaving mats and sometimes she works for others to raise additional income. She earns less than five U.S. dollars per day from her current business to feed her family. Nat started taking out loans in 2004. The previous loans have helped her have regular income and make a better living. Having utilized traditional electricity, Nat leads a group of five female members who have been with VisionFund for eight years applying for another with VisionFund. She will use this loan to connect the electricity to her house. This loan will enable her and her family to have electricity and also to increase her business.
