Rose's story

Rose lives in Uganda. She is widowed and has 6 children, all of whom are in school. Rose has a business selling charcoal. She has been in this business for over 5 years, and she works 6 days out of every week. Rose sells her products retail at the market and has requested a loan of 500,000 Ugandan Shillings from MCDT SACCO to buy more bags of charcoal. She also generates additional income through frying chapat. The main business challenge(s) for Rose include seasonality and thieves. Her goals and aspirations for her business are seeing her business grow big, acquire a delivery van and also start selling wholesale.
