A loan of $850 helped a member to pay for labor to harvest his maize.

Savoeuy's Group's story

Savoeuy, 26, is married with one son who is in primary school. He is a peasant living in a rural village located in the Ratanak Mondul district. He plants red maize to make a living, and sometimes he works for others for additional income.

After his first loan with VisionFund, Savoeuy and his group members (who have been with VisionFund from one to four years) are now applying for another loan. He wants to use this loan to pay for labor to harvest his maize. He hopes to increase his maize crop and also to sell it for a good price. He wants to generate a better income to improve his family's standard of living and also to keep his son in school.
