A loan of $775 helped to purchase merchandise to stock her business like groceries and soft drinks.

Juana's story

Señora Juana is an older woman, but this is not an obstacle for her and she is still involved with several activities. She is a hard-working woman, who wants to work and get ahead. Ten years ago, she started a business in a room of her house, with the desire of expanding the business. Juana comments that she started with very little capital and, over time, her income allowed her to stock her grocery store more. Now she is very concerned because her business has prospered as has she, and her family wants to invest in order to increase income and continue with her project. This will be her fifth loan, which she appreciates because the loans have helped her greatly with her family finances. Her husband is an alfalfa farmer, who sells in different parts of the city and to nearby settlements. Juana wants to purchase merchandise like soft drinks, snacks, dairy products, groceries, bread, tortillas and more.
