Felicita's story

Felicita is 28 years old and a happy woman. She lives with Nilo, her husband of 8 years. They have a child Josep who they take care of in their own house, located in the village of Aymara. Like any good rural woman, she works in agriculture while her husband is a bricklayer as it gives him better returns. The main crops she plants are potatoes, oca and olluco (both Andean types of tubers) which she sells retail after the harvest in the city of Huancayo as it gives her more profits. In addition she takes care of pigs and sheep she owns, which she raises and feeds to fatten and sell at a higher price. According to her, in times of economic scarcity, the sale of her animals helps her cover the family expenses. Now, her primary objective is to improve the infrastructure of her house. She belongs to the communal bank "Aymara" annd this is her first loan with MFP with which she feels she has moved forwards as she will receive the financial help she needs to meet her objectives. She therefore promises to be prompt with her repayments. She welcomes your support and will invest in the purchase of fertilizers to improve her crops.
