A loan of $500 helped buy corn, spices, oil, sodas and juice.

Sofia Del Carmen's story

Sofia is 55 years old. She lives with her mother and her children no longer live with her. She makes and sells pupusas (Salvadoran delicacy) every day from two in the afternoon until 8:30 at night. This business has been running for over 15 years which gives the advantage of having well-established customers.

She is requesting a loan to invest in ingredients for her pupuseria (place where pupusas are made/sold) : corn, spices, oil, sodas and juice. This purchase will help increase the stock of ingredients needed for her business and give her confidence when effecting her daily sales.

She wants to strengthen her business, and so she hopes that with this investment she will achieve that goal and improve her living conditions.
