A loan of $3,600 helped a member to buy potatoes, apples, cabbages and oranges to sell.

Newlife Group's story

This is sixty-year-old Keresencia from Masvingo, a town in southeastern Zimbabwe. She is widowed with four children and cares for twelve dependents as well.

For the past twenty years Keresencia has sold vegetables to earn a living. She says the main challenge she faces is the high cost of produce.

Keresencia has requested a loan of 400 USD to buy vegetables for resale. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to be able to take care of her orphaned grandchildren.

In the future Keresencia plans to build a refrigerated store room for storing her vegetables.
