Tseko, 49, is a married man with four children, all of whom attend school. He lives in a rental house that has neither electricity nor piped water. His greatest monthly expenses are food and rental bills.
For the past three years, he has operated a hawking business, moving from door to door to his neighbors and passersby. He faces a major challenge of the high cost of transportation in his business. He dreams of expanding his business in the future.
With the KSHS 30,000, he wants to purchase bales of clothes for resale. He decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost his business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
