A loan of $625 helped to purchase electronic devices (Play Station, TV, DVD player).

Karim's story

Born January 10, 1973 in Bamako Mr. Karim is married with three children. He lives in a traditional extended family in Wayerma I, one of the suburbs of the city of Sikasso (third administrative region of the Republic of Mali).

Mr. Karim is a veterinarian who started this entertainment activity about 10 years ago. He has a game room at the front of his home which is much in demand since it has a television where young people come to enjoy Play-Station games.

To better serve an ever-increasing number of customers, he decided to join the Soro Yiriwaso micro-finance institution with which he is on his first individual loan.

He wants to diversify his services by buying two Play-Stations, one computer to burn CD/DVDs, two TVs and two DVD players. He intends to purchase the equipment in Ghana.

He expects this loan will generate monthly profits of 150,000 FCFA to be used primarily to increase his business, contribute towards family expenses and pay interest on the loan.
