A loan of $425 helped to purchase better manure, fertilizers, and pesticides for her farm.

Leah's story

Leah has been earning her livelihood as a tea farmer for the past 12 years. Located in Kyenjojo, this happy-go-lucky mother of 7 was a nurse prior to starting her business.

With the minimal earnings from her trade, she has done her utmost to give her kids an education, albeit with some difficulty. Leah envisages better and improved circumstances for her business in the forthcoming year, 2012. She says, with better sales returns, she will achieve her dream of giving her kids an education up to the university level. To supplement her income, Leah also has a pharmacy. Monthly, she generates sales revenues to the tune of 450,000 Ugandan shillings.

Leah hopes to use her loan to purchase better manure, fertilizers, and pesticides for her farm.
