A loan of $800 helped to buy tomatoes, potatoes, güisquiles (pear squash), yucas, and carrots.

Teresa De Jesus's story

Teresa is a vegetable vendor. She lives with her husband. She has been selling vegetables for more than ten years, and has a stall in the municipal market.

Her husband grows vegetables on his plot of land, to avoid having to buy everything they sell. This way, they save having to buy a few vegetables through the business.

Currently, she is applying for the loan to buy tomatoes, potatoes, güisquiles (pear squash), yucas, and carrots. This loan will help her to have all she needs to cover her expenses, and take advantage of the Christmas season.

Teresa's desire is that this coming month will be good for sales, so that she manages to get the money necessary to pay her instalments. In the long term, she wants to finish the construction of her house.
