Amiran's story

Amiran is a 48-year-old farmer from Terjola, West Georgia. He is married and lives with his family, including his wife, Tamara, and their adult son and daughter. Amiran’s son is a car mechanic. Tamara has health problems and receives a pension from the government.

Amiran and Tamara lead the agricultural business of the family, which is the main source of their income. The family has two milk cows and two calves. They produce cheese and sell it at the local market. Also, the family owns one hectare of land, where maize is grown. The total average income of the family is 370 GEL per month.

Amiran requested a loan to purchase a milk cow. This will enable the family to have more milk and increase cheese production and sales by 50 percent. They will have more income and will be able to improve their living conditions.
