Hong's story

Mr. K. Hong and his wife, Ngau Sokheng, have been married since 1984. They have three children; two sons and one daughter. One of their children is a construction worker and other two are students at the local school. Mr. Hong has been a taxi driver for two years and a farmer while his wife has grown flowers for resale since 1985.

Mr. Hong and his family live along the Tonle Basac River, a tributary of the nearby Mekong and approximately fifteen kilometers from Phnom Penh. Both husband and wife hope that their business will support the family and allow their children to continue their education.

Mr. Hong is requesting his first loan in the amount of $300. He will use this money to purchase flower beds for his wife to increase her flower sales.
