Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Twisungane Zone 3 Group's story

Emmanuel, age 55, is a member of Twisungane Zone 3 Group. He's married and has six children, age 7 to 20. Out of them, six attend school. His own level of education amounts to six years of elementary school.

Emmanuel is a rice cultivator. He's seeking his first loan from Kiva's partner, ACB. He will use it to buy chemical fertilizers.

His strategy for growing his business is to expand his rice cultivation area. In the forthcoming years, he would like to be the rice provider in his region.

He intends to user his profits to educate his children and send them to school.
