Martha Liliana's story

Marta is 21 years old and lives with her two year old son in Puerto Colombia, located along the sea, where foreign poets and artists live and are inspired. Marta owns a boutique where she sells gifts, cards, piñatas, perfumes, feminine items, and things that people need around the house.

Her business is divided into two locations; one is the boutique and the other is an internet café, where she provides photocopy, fax, cell phone, and local and international calling services. She’s been in business for four years and it’s been growing, because she also offers bill paying services and people can go there to pay on their bank loans or utilities.

This Kiva loan will be her first loan through Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, with which she will buy clothing and toys because these are the things that sell best at the end of the year, which is full of parties and family glee. Sales usually go up and this will make her investment successful.
