A loan of $575 helped to buy computers to add internet service to her photocopy business.

Olga Leonor's story

Olga is 22 years old and the mother of a 13 month old son. She has a business where she provides photocopy services, printing, transcriptions, and laminations. It’s located in her home. Her entrepreneurial idea came to her when she received her severance from the company she used to work for. She began with a single photocopier, and gradually added more of these and other equipment that she bought on credit and was able to pay off with the profits from her business.

Her dream to grow is always present and for this reason she is asking for a Kiva loan. She wants to invest during a season where there is lots of business, like year’s end, because of Christmas and new year.

She will use the money from this Kiva loan, her first one through Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, to buy computers to add internet service, which is often requested. She wants to enter a younger market and in this way make her investment a success.
