Sop Serigne Bara Group's story

The solidarity group, Sop Sérigne Bara, was created on April 20, 2010. It is composed of 8 women, all from the same area. They all partake in commerce.

Marie (standing, on the right) is the leader of the group. She is 31 years old. She is married and is the mother of 5 children.

She sells peanuts and "bissap", commonly referred to as oseille, on a small scale.

With her loan, she will increase her supply of peanuts and "bissap" to sell.

Her profits will allow her to support her husband in taking care of the family's needs. Please note that one of the group members is absent in the photo.

In this group: Marie, Awa, Fatou, Soxna, Fatou, Daba, Ndoffe, Daba
