A loan of $1,200 helped a member to buy fabric and sewing thread.

New Dawn Group's story

This is 41 year old Cleopas from Machipisa, Harare. He is married with three children, two of whom attend school.

Cleopas runs a tailoring business. The business has been in operation for nine years. He says the main challenge he faces is competition, as other players are entering the industry with cheaper products.

Cleopas has requested a loan of $400 to buy raw materials like fabric and thread. He says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow him to be able to pay school fees and rentals on time. In the future, Cleopas plans to have a large machine shop.
