Teopista lives in Uganda. She is married and has four children, three of whom are in school. She also takes care of additional family members (two nephews).
Teopista has a business of a pub. She has been in this business for over ten years, and she works six days a week. Teopista sells her products from home, by means of retail. Teopista has requested for a loan of 1,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from MCDT SACCO, which she will use to buy more crates of beer and soda and jerry cans of local gin. She also generates additional income through rental houses. The main business challenges for Teopista include transportating jerycans of local Gin and crates of beef and Soda from the market to her home, and thieves. Her goals and aspirations for her business are to be a wholesaler and also to own a delivery van to ease transportation and also to build more rental rooms. Teopista lives in a home that she owns; she has access to electricity but does not have access to piped water. Her major monthly expenses include medication, school fees, and feeding her family.
