Nidal is a 42-year-old Lebanese married man. He lives with his wife and two children, who are still attending school. He is the main source of income for his family and works really hard to provide a better future for his young children.
Nidal started his own metal work in 1990 and is looking forward to growing his business. Today, he wants to borrow $2500 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase a laser machine and additional metal equipment. He notes that this Kiva loan will increase his profits by 20%. In the future, he plans to expand his business by buying extra technological tools.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
