Sope Serign Saliou Group's story

Sope Serign Saliou Group was established on November 23, 2001. He's made up of eight women, who are practically from the same town.

Yacine (on the left in the photograph, wearing blue) is responsible for the group. She's 62 years old and the mother of one child. She retails fish products.

With her new loan of XOF 50'000 (ca US$ 92) she will buy baskets of smoked fish and dried fish, and resell them at the market in her neighborhood.

With her profits, she will buy rice, oil, and sugar for her child, and pay prescription costs in case of sickness.
