A loan of $575 helped buy rice, a variety of drinks, beans, sugar and preserves to sell.

Pedro's story

Pedro, aged 44, lives with Berta, who is 43, in their own house, together with their 3 dear children for whom they wish to offer a better future. Pedro is a hard-working man with an ardent concern to dedicate himself to working to overcome the difficulties presented by destiny. Pedro is a merchant with a tiny grocery store located in the Quimbiri district.

Pedro opens the doors of his store very early to receive the first customers, who can be sure to find the merchandise they need. What he likes most about his work is conversing with his customers and keeping on top of what occurs in his barrio.

It has been 4 months since he began his business and he finds the most difficult part staying on his feet almost all day. With the solicited loan he will purchase more groceries for his business and resupply the store with merchandise.

This will be Pedro's 7th loan through MFP and he is content to know that he will obtain the financial help that makes it possible for him to continue his work. At the same time, he is grateful to his communal bank for working so responsibly. With the 1,500 new sols Pedro will buy products to improve his inventory, including rice, a variety of drinks, beans, sugar, preserves, etc.
