A loan of $1,200 helped to buy pigs to raise.

Candida's story

Cándida lives in Chacaraseca, a region located in the rural area of León. She is a dynamic and proactive woman, a fighter who likes to get ahead. Very much in spite of not being a woman who studied a profession, she has learned how to develop herself in business.

She works raising pigs and planting, and she has a mini- grocery store that is a big help in her region where grocery stores are not very common. She also is mother and father to her four children who, together with her, have gotten ahead with the little they have managed to get. She began raising pigs when she was 16 years old. That was her first business; later she began to grow yucca, sesame, corn, and beans, and subsequently she has been investing in her mini-grocery store.

She needs the loan to buy pigs to raise. The loan will help her acquire pigs for raising, since weight and reproduction are two very important parameters for her customers. One of her expectations is to have a farm of pigs for reproducing and make her grocery store grow to offer a variety of products of great necessity in her community.
