A loan of $600 helped to invest in buying more fish, chiles, tomatoes, green beans, squash, chayotes, etc.

Edilia Margarita's story

Edila is a very responsible person and she says she really likes her job. She is 20 years old and a single mother. She has a little 3 month old baby. She sell fish and produce in the market in the community next to hers. She has done this for 2 years.

She decided to start this business to seek a better quality of life for her daughter and to help her family with the household expenses. She also wanted to improve her financial solvency and ensure her daughter's future. She will invest the loan she received in buying more fish, chiles, tomatoes, green beans, squash, chayotes, etc. to continue her sales.

Edila's biggest wish for her business is to increase her investment to grow the business quickly. She would like to sell fruit and thus improve and increase her earnings even more, while continuing to support her family.

She is very satisfied that she is able to count on support from FRAC and from Kiva, since thanks to that support she now has better sales and her business is better stocked. It has helped her to keep saving a part of her earnings.
