Mirian Gricelda's story

Mirian Gricelda is a 53 year old woman who has been married for 37 years. She has three children; ages 30, 32, and 36. She lives in the Sitraterco de Tela neighborhood in Atlántida. Mirian has been selling women’s clothes, shoes, perfume, purses, and wallets for five years. She is also a nurse who works in the community health center. She started her business buy selling lotions and perfumes to her friends. Upon seeing that she sold them; she bought clothes, shoes, creams, and wallets. She already has her customers there and in the community. She has a relative in the United States who sends her used clothes to sell. She is very hard-working. In the morning she works at the health center, and in the afternoon she dedicates herself to her business. She has had three loans with ODEF, which have been to increase her business. With the current loan she will buy more products, clothes, lotions, and shoes. It is the Christmas season, and she is going to increase her sales. She plans to use this income to make some improvements on her house.
