Sop Serigne Fallou Group's story

The Sop Sergne Fallou group was created on March 28th, 2008. The members of the group have diverse activities: some are merchants and sell products like juice and ice cream, others are chicken farmers, and others practice animal fattening. Rokhaya, standing on the far right of the picture in the light blue boubou, is the leader of the group. She is 55 years old, married and the mother of 4 children. She sells chickens, which she buys at the market and resells to her neighbours. She has also been selling dyed fabric (thioup) for 5 years. Rokhaya would like earn enough to be able to contribute to the various household expenses (such as food, medical expenses, educational expenses, clothing).
