A loan of $1,175 helped a member to buy free-range chickens to then sell cut-up.

La Central ( Flat) Group's story

The "La Central" group is made up of four people, each with a different business. The person interviewed is María Lucita, who is married to Constancio, and has four children in her care.

She applied for the loan in order to invest it in the purchase and sale of cut-up chicken, a business she has been working in for a year and eight months. She says it is going well, since with the loan, she has greatly improved her chicken purchasing.

She was inspired to start the business, because she wants to help her husband by contributing to the household income. In this way she will help her children, who are in school, get ahead in life.

Her greatest wish is that with this small activity, she will be able to keep moving forward. This will enable her to expand her business even more, which helps her so much with her income.

The people in the group are Teresita de Jésus, who will use the loan to buy Avon brand cosmetics, Adi Deleyma will use it to buy and sell cosmetics, and Guadalupe who will use it to buy material for sewing clothing.
