Tessito Group's story

This solidarity group was founded on July 11, 2002. It is made up of thirteen women who live in this same neighborhood and whose main professional activity is retail business. Bintou is the facilitator of the group. In the picture, she is the woman standing on the right with her hand raised. Bintou is 54 years old. She is married and the mother of four children. Bintou works very hard: she sells fabrics and meat chickens. She has been pursuing these activities for several years now and has become quite proficient at her trade. The loan she is requesting will allow her to increase her capital and to further develop her business. The profits will allow Bintou to increase her savings and will improve her family's living conditions (in terms of health, food, clothes etc...).

In this group: Binta, Nafissatou O, Mame, Rokhaya, Dieyla, Ata Aissatou, Maimouna, Bintou Boubacar, Hawa, Mariama M, Nene, Sona, Coumba
