A loan of $2,150 helped to raise floating capital.

Sanabarkhon's story

Sanabarkhon is 60 years old and a widow. She had raised five children who have mostly left to Russia for work. Sanabarkhon had been working for twenty years as chief nurse in the local hospital and now is in retirement. Her pension is 2,800 som (KGS) monthly, which is about $60. Since the salary of medical workers in Kyrgystan is low, Sanabarkhon had started a second hand resale store back in 2000. She sells used TVs, rugs, refrigerators and the like. To further expand her second hand business Sanabarkhon has turned to "Bai-Tushum and partners" for a loan of 100,000 som (KGS) which she will use to expand her inventory.
