Maria Dolores's story

María Dolores is 32 years old, single, and has no children. She lives with her mother in Guaranda, which is in Bolívar Province.

María Dolores is a member of the Communal Bank “Pangua” which is located in the community of Pangua Chaupiyacu and part of Guanujo parish in the canton of Guaranda. This community is 15 minutes away from the office of Cooperativa San Jose. The members of the Pangua Communal Bank work mostly in agriculture and livestock breeding, but they also engage in other business activities, such as retail and construction, in order to earn most of their income.

María engages in livestock breeding and farming. Her purchases and sales are conducted in Guaranda. She is requesting a loan in order to buy animals, such as cattle and sheep. With the help of this loan, María will be able to improve her financial stability. Her dream is to buy a house. The challenges she faces include preventing her crops from drying out.

In her free time, María Dolores likes to rest. Occasionally she will spend time in the city.
