Elizabeth's Group's story

Pictured here are teachers from one of the primary schools in Waterloo, a town near Freetown where “Shine on Sierra Leone” partnered with SMT to start a branch. They have request a loan to solve their immediate financial challenges. At the end of each month, they will repay the loan using their monthly salaries. The school’s bursar is directly responsible for doing the deductions and making the repayment on their behalf.

Elizabeth is the leader of this group of teachers. The fifty-year old is a native of Makeni. She is married to a pastor and the couple has three children. Elizabeth has requested this loan to buy some pieces of furniture and equipment for her house.
